Our Classic Nepal tour is a great tour for people visiting this kingdom for the first time. You will visit the hustling and bustling of Kathmandu Valley, explore the adventure capital of Pokhara and head to the jungles of Chitwan.
Day 1: Kathmandu
You will be met on arrival at Kathmandu airport and transferred to Marriott Kathmandu for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Kathmandu
In the morning, you will head out for a city tour in Kathmandu. You will start at Durbar Square where you will visit the historical monuments and the local marketplace. You will proceed by rickshaw to Thamel which will take approximately 30 min. In the afternoon you will visit Pashupatinath and the Boudhanath. Pashupatinath is one of the holiest Hindu shrines and the oldest Hindu temple in Kathmandu. Boudhanath which was built in the 14th century is possibly the world’s largest Buddhist Stupa. The stupa has become one of the most important centers of Tibetan Buddhism. In the evening, you will be heading back to Marriott Kathmandu for leisure and overnight.
Day 3: Kathmandu
In the morning, you will head out for a city tour in Bhaktapur. Bhaktapur city or the city of devotees situated at an altitude of 1,401 m, 12 kilometers east of Kathmandu. Bhaktapur covers an area of 4 square miles and is shaped like a conch shell. It is now included in the list of world heritage sites. Pottery and weavings are their traditional industries. You will visit Durbar Square, the golden gate, the palace of 55 windows and, Nyatapola temple. In the evening, you will be heading back to Marriott Kathmandu for leisure and overnight.
Day 4: Kathmandu - Bandipur
After breakfast, you will depart to Bandipur. You will first visit the Manakamana temple situated in the Gorkha district of Nepal. It is the sacred place of the Hindu Goddess Bhagwati, an incarnation of Parvati. Later in the afternoon, you will drive to Bandipur, a picturesque town nestled in the Himalayan foothills of Nepal, a land as famous for its natural beauty as for the hospitality of its people. Here you will get to see the traditional Newari houses, with carved wooden windows and overhanging slate roofs. Your overnight stay is basic but is the best hotel offered in the region, overnight at the Old Inn.
Day 5: Bandipur – Pokhara
After breakfast, you will enjoy a walking tour around Bandipur. This Newar town (people of Nepal) has maintained its age-old flavor and presents sightseers with a mix of history, architecture, incredible views, caves and unspoiled landscapes. You will also gain an insight into Newar culture while enjoying the pristine scenery. In the afternoon, you will drive to Pokhara, a remarkable place of natural beauty. Pokhara is known as a center of adventure and the starting point for most treks. The enchanting town has several beautiful lakes and offers stunning panoramic views of Himalayan peaks. The serenity of lakes and the magnificence of the Himalayas rising behind them create an ambiance of peace and magic.Upon arrival in Pokhara, you will be transferred to Temple Tree Resort for a free evening.
Day 6: Pokhara
After breakfast, you will head out to explore more of Pokhara and it's surroundings. Your exploration of the area includes Devi's Fall, the Gupteswore Cave, one of the largest caves in Pokhara dedicated to Lord Shiva is another nature's wonder in Pokhara and Mahendra cave Known as Bat Cave. Your tour ends with a visit to Phewa Lake for a boat ride. Phewa Lake is the second largest lake in Nepal. The afternoon is spend free at leisure, overnight at Temple Tree Resort.
Day 7: Pokhara – Chitwan
After breakfast, you will leave Pokhara behind you and you will be heading towards Chitwan National Park. Chitwan National Park is an award-winning national park and has a wide variety of native wildlife in its natural habitat, including the one-horned Rhinoceros, Tiger and gharial Crocodile. Upon arrival at Chitwan National Park, you will be met by your nature guide and transferred to your lodge. In the afternoon, you will visit nearby Tharu Village, explore the lifestyle of these tribes who are known as the people that are not affected by Malaria and that’s the reason, they have been able to sustain in this part of the world before Malaria was eradicated 1960’s. In the evening you will join our jungle experts for a presentation about the history of the national park, as well as some other topics relating to wildlife. Your question will be most welcomed. You will spend the rest of the evening at Himalayan Wildlife Sanctuary and enjoy your dinner and overnight.
Day 8: Chitwan
After breakfast, you will start the day with a jeep safari, you will head out with an experienced driver at the wheel and an expert naturalist leading you deep inside the forests, exploring the mystery and magic of the jungle from the comfort of your seat. For the next 3-4 hours you will go in search of wild animals such as several types of deers, monkeys, wild boar, sloth bear, leopard and, if lucky, the Royal Bengal tiger. Apart from the wild animals, you would visit deep inside the national park where the naturist would brief you about the forest and its types, trees and its species and different species of birds. After lunch you will proceed to the Rapti River, which you will cross and head out for a nature walk inside the national park. In the evening, transfer back to the lodge for a Tharu Cultural Dance where farmers of nearby villages show their dance skills. Dinner and overnight at Himalayan Wildlife Sanctuary
Note: Jeep Safari is prohibited during monsoon season by the park authorities from June-September and in some season it can prolong till October.
Day 9: Chitwan – Kathmandu
In the morning after breakfast, you will head back to Kathmandu. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, you will have free time to shop or walk around on your own. In the evening you will enjoy a traditional Nepali farewell dinner.
Day 10: Kathmandu
We will take you back to the airport where you will wave goodbye to beautiful Nepal.
