Yunnan: From Lakes to Mountains

Day 1: Arrival Day - Dali
Upon arrival at the airport, our designated driver will take you to the hotel where a guide will be waiting to welcome you.  If you arrive earlier in the day, we recommend spending some time exploring Dali Ancient Town, a thousand-year-old town whose history dates back to the Tang Dynasty. Taste a freshly made flower pastry, try erkua from a street stall, and watch Bai elders pass by carrying shoulder poles filled with seasonal fruit, a simple, vivid introduction to the authentic rhythm of Yunnan life. Day 2: Day Trip in Dali
Enjoy a delicious lake-view breakfast by Erhai Lake, then head to Longkan Wharf for cycling around Erhai Lake. Feel the gentle breeze and romance of the lake. Relax by the water with a coffee and sweeping lake views before continuing on to Xizhou - a place often called a living museum of Bai architecture. 

In Xizhou, experience traditional tie-dye with local Bai women in Xizhou. Learn a Chinese intangible cultural heritage craft and tak hoeme a piece of blue dyed by your own hands. In the evening wander through Shaxi Ancient Town, once a major hub on the Tea Horse Road. You'll deeply feel Yunnan’s quiet rhythm and the traces of history that still linger in everyday life. Day 3: Shaxi Ancient Town - Tiger Leaping Gorge – Shangri-La – Dukezong Ancient Town
After breakfast, be sure to head to Yujin Bridge to witness the drifting morning mist and the gentle sound of the flowing stream. In the afternoon, visit the narrowest and most powerful section of Tiger Leaping Gorge, where the roaring Jinsha River has carved a 3,699-meter-deep chasm between two towering snow mountains. Continue to Shangri-La, where you can join locals to turn the world’s largest prayer wheels, a massive cylinder that requires dozens of people to move together. Take part in the traditional Guozhuang dance, experiencing the vibrant Tibetan atmosphere of Yunnan. Overnight at Half & Half View Hotel

Day 4: Songzanlin Monastery – Yuhu Village
In winter mornings, head to Geri Viewpoint to admire from afar, the largest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Yunnan, Songzanlin Monastery. Then proceed to the Monastery and climb 147 stone steps leading to the main halls. In the afternoon, travel to Yuhu Village, a place located on the southern slopes of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

After checking in, visit a local Naxi family and explore their stone courtyard and traditional home. Join them and make tofu, enjoy snacks, sit in the fire-pit gatherings, experience handmade papermaking, learn the local language and dress in traditional Naxi clothing to dance with the hosts. Day 5: Jade Dragon Snow Mountain Horseback Riding
After watching the golden alpenglow at Longnü Lake, set off on a horseback journey into the less-visited back side of Jade Dragon Snow Mountain. The route covers 17 km, with approximately 5 hours of riding. It's suitable even for beginners to enjoy the pleasure of horseback riding. Lunch is included, and throughout the ride, you’ll be able to take in the scenery from the saddle at a relaxed pace fully immersing yourself in a unique and memorable outdoor experience.

Day 6: Baisha Ancient Town – Lijiang Old Town

Learn about the Baisha Murals and create your ownusing natural mineral pigments and Yunnan’s distinctive red earth materials that can endure for centuries without fading. Afterwards, enjoy an authentic Naxi-style lunch in Baisha Ancient Town, then spend the afternoon wandering through the old streets and sipping a coffee beneath the snow mountains. Continue to Black Dragon Pool Park, where the snow mountains reflect clearly in the water. Stroll through Lijiang Old Town, listen to a Yunnan folk song, and sip a cocktail infused with the stories of Yunnan, experiencing Lijiang’s relaxed rhythm.

Day 7:Departure Day
An airport drop-off will be arranged according to your flight time, bringing your memorable journey.
