Day 2 Paro - Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary
Free day at leisure to explore all of Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary's facilities. You can have a free consultation with one of the traditional Bhutanese medicine doctors, who will create a personal well-being program, including dietary advice, focused on balancing the body, mind, and spirit. You can also hang out at the library to explore the various books and magazines on well-being, meditation, yoga, mindfulness, and traveling. Enjoy a cup of herbal tea at the Tea-bar, which offers over 20 herbal-infused teas, each focusing on a different balance aspect between the body-mind-spirit. Or view the majestic mountains and ancient woods with views into the Neyphu Valley from the lounge. Dinner and overnight at Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary.
Day 3 Thimphu Highlights
After a healthy breakfast, it is time to visit Bhutan's capital city, Thimphu—only an hour's ride from the sanctuary. In Thimphu, you will visit the memorial stupa built for the third king of Bhutan. You can make your personalized stamps at the Bhutan Postal Museum and use them to send postcards to your family and friends worldwide. After this visit, you will be taken to the famous Kuensel Phodrang, the Buddha Point, 51.5 meters high and overlooking the Thimphu Valley. After some free time and a short hike around the Buddha statue, you will head to Changagnkha Lhakhang Temple, one of Thimphu's oldest temples. After lunch, you will head to Takin Preserve to see the national animal of Bhutan. You will also visit the Thangthong Dewachen Drupthop Nunnery, the craft bazaar, and the Tashi Chho Dzong, which houses the office of the King. In the afternoon, you will head back to Paro. Dinner and overnight at Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary.
Day 4 Paro - Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary
Are you feeling a bit active today? Today is another day to enjoy the relaxed atmosphere at the Spirit Sanctuary. You can participate in traditional Bhutanese sports in the apple orchard, such as darts and archery, or get creative in a pottery class in the art studio and take home your hand-made ceramics. Enjoying the benefits of traditional massages, herbal treatments, yoga, meditation, hot stone baths, and forest bathing are always options. Dinner and overnight at Bhutan Spirit Sanctuary.
