Flying the Nest Signature Tanzania Tour

Day 1: Arrival at Kilimanjaro Int. Airport, transfer to Arusha
Today you will arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Upon arrival, you will be met by a representative who will welcome you and you start your journey to Arusha to Kili Villa for overnight. 

Day 2: Mount Kilimanjaro daytrip
At 09:00 am, you will be picked up for a day trip to the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. You will leave for Materuni Village, where you will be introduced to the local farmers who farm coffee and will be shown the entire process, from farming to roasting the coffee. After a delicious lunch, you will leave for a short hike to the waterfall, a beautiful and lush hike, and if you are lucky, you might spot some monkeys. If time allows, you will visit the hot springs as well. In the evening, you will head back to Arusha for an overnight at Kili Villa.

Day 3: Arusha - Tarangire National Park 
After an early breakfast, we recommend you depart at 08:00 am for your safari adventure in Northern Tanzania with your first stop at Tarangire National Park. The park is known for its enormous herds of elephants and massive baobab trees. You will enjoy a luxury lunch inside the park before departing to the accommodation for a leisurely afternoon and sundowners at the lodge.  Dinner and overnight at Manyara Secret

Day 4: Mto wa Mbu & Masai Village
After breakfast, you will depart to Mto wa Mbu village, where you will walk through the village and enjoy a local lunch prepared by the mamas of the village. After lunch, you will depart to Alphayo's Masai Village, where you will get to spend the night. The Masai are traditionally known to be a nomadic tribe. However, with the improvement of infrastructure and access to water, they are now living in more permanent settlements but still follow their local traditions and live according to their ancient culture. 

Day 5: Lake Eyasi 
After you start your day with Alphayo and his family, you will depart to Lake Eyasi for some more cultural experiences. Lake Eyasi is known as the home of the last bushmen and hunters. Journey into the hills of Lake Eyasi’s Eastern shore for an overnight camp with Hazda hosts. Your guides will reveal how the Desert Rose provides poison for arrow tips, lead you to ancient rock paintings, let you bathe in shady spring pools, and climb the rocks to watch the African sunset over the breathtaking landscape. – all before a campfire dinner below an infinite ceiling of starlight. You will visit a Hazda encampment and woodlands with towering Baobabs and gnarled acacias. You can also join in hunting and gathering for seasonal offerings such as wild honey or baobab fruit. Overnight at Ombako Fly Camp. 

Day 6: Lake Eyasi 
In the morning, after breakfast, you will proceed with Hazda cultural activities, including walking, hunting, and gathering (learning their ways of life) before driving back to the main camp for lunch. The rest of the day is spent at leisure at Kisima Ngeda, where you will overnight. 

Day 7: Lake Eyasi - Ngorongoro Crater - Karatu 
After breakfast, you will depart to Ngorongoro Crater, also known as the Garden of Eden,  for morning and afternoon game viewing. You will look for lions, buffaloes, and even rhinos while enjoying a warm coffee or tea. You will enjoy your lunch inside the crater, overlooking the lake, before heading back to Rhotia Valley for dinner and overnight. 

Day 8: Karatu - Serengeti National Park
Today you will be heading to Central Serengeti, known for its big cats. Spot the lions and leopards from the savannah, but don't forget to look up into the trees as they casually relax and overview the plains for their next prey. Whenever you are ready to head to your accommodation, you will be heading there, where you can spend the rest of your day at leisure while enjoying the stunning views from your room. Dinner and overnight at Olmara Tented Camp 

Day 9: Central Serengeti - Northern Serengeti
After breakfast, you will slowly depart towards northern Serengeti, where, if you are lucky, you can still catch the great migration crossing the Mara River back to Tanzania after they spent some time in Kenya. Northern Serengeti is one of the spectacular places to witness wildlife with abundant animals including many cats. You will be spending the night at Nyikani Migration Camp

Day 10: Northern Serengeti 
Today will be your last full day on safari and you can schedule it according to your own wishes. Perhaps, you have already seen everything you wanted to see and will spend the full day at the camp, where you can relax, enjoy a good glass of wine, read a book and enjoy the views over the savannah or you would still want to be heading out for a game drive where you will try to tick off the last animals on your bucket list. You will be staying again at the Nyikani Migration Camp for your last night in The Serengeti. 

Day 11: Northern Serengeti - Arusha / Kilimanjaro Int. Airport
In the morning, you will enjoy a leisurely breakfast before catching your flight to Arusha Airport in the afternoon from Kogatende airstrip. There, you will be picked up and taken to the airport for your departure flight.
