Discover the highlights of Bangkok and neighboring areas. Taste the delicious street food in Bangkok, visit some cultural highlights and take a quick deep dive into Thailand's history and nature.
Day 1: Bangkok
Upon arrival at Suvarnabhumi International Airport, your guide will be waiting for you in the guide pick-up area located at the arrival gate B on your left-hand side as you walk out of the arrival hall. You will be transferred to your hotel for free time at leisure. Overnight at Riva Surya.
Day 2: Bangkok
After breakfast, you will be picked up by your guide and driver for a full day in Bangkok. You will explore the city's highlights and hidden treasures! Your excursion begins with a visit to Wat Pho, one of Bangkok’s oldest and largest temples – famous for the 43 meters long reclining Buddha. From there, continue on to the famous Grand Palace. Marvel at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha (Wat Pra Kaew), the most revered shrine in the Kingdom. Lunch will be served at a lovely local restaurant, before boarding a longtail boat to explore the klongs. Floating along Bangkok’s maze of canals and waterways, you will have the chance to observe aspects of traditional Thai life, which have disappeared from most of Bangkok. Your tour will finish off with a visit to admire Wat Arun, the stunning Temple of Dawn. Overnight at Riva Surya.
Day 3: Bangkok - Kanchanaburi
Early this morning at 06:30 hrs., you will be picked up from your hotel by our minivan and guide and driven to the old fishing port of Samut Songkram, locally known as Maeklong, which is well known for its railway market. The station is in the middle of a huge, local market, and is usually packed with people. Just before the railway station vendors use the space between the rails for their trays of vegetables, fruit, and fish. Your guide will walk with you through the market along the tracks until the train arrives. Later continue driving to Kanchanburi province to visit the bridge over the River Kwai. This bridge is the railway bridge that was built as part of the 'death line' and was an important point on the route of the Burma railway during the Second World War as a supply route for the Japanese. You will also visit the Thailand-Burma Railway Museum and the War Cemetery. After that transfer to U Inchantree, you will have the rest of the day free at leisure.
Day 4: Kanchanaburi
This morning, meet your guide and driver for a half-day tour to Erawan Waterfall (entrance is included). Erawan Falls has seven levels dropping down over 1,500m and is regarded as one the more beautiful in Thailand. You can walk to each level fairly easily on the paths but if you're aiming to get to the very top then it's a bit of a scramble up the cliff - it's worth the effort though! You can swim in some of the pools created by the falls. Around the park are also several caves where you can explore and see some weird and wonderful limestone formations, stalactites, and stalagmites. In the afternoon you will transfer to Phu Tha Kien pier to take a long-tail boat passing stunning scenery back to U Inchantree.
Day 5: Kanchanaburi - Bangkok
This morning is free at your leisure. Normally, your check-out time is at 12:00. You can leave your luggage at the hotel’s lobby and explore the surrounding until the pickup time. Then, meet your guide and transfer to Suvarnabhumi airport/Bangkok hotel.
