City break Colombia

Day 1: Arrival at Medellin
Today you will arrive at José Maria Córdova International Airport. Upon arrival, you will be met by a representative who will welcome you and you start your journey to Medellin, and proceed to El Cielo for overnight.

Day 2: Medellin
After breakfast, you will be heading out to explore more of the city of Medellin. Explore the Andean capital of Colombia on a full-day tour. Get an insight into the history of the city by visiting the “Pueblito Paisa” and enjoy perfect views of the city. Explore the famous Botero Plaza downtown with an exhibition of the Colombian artist Fernando Botero, whose sculptures have become a landmark of the city. Take the Metro Cable up to Santo Domingo, which was once a notorious area of gang violence in Medellín. The cable car was constructed to make the inner city more accessible to people from the outskirts and allows visitors a glimpse into the lives of the marginalized population. At the Comuna 13 district with its unique escalators, you observe another innovative project that improved the quality of life of the people of Medellín. Overnight at El Cielo.

Day 3: Medellin - Cartagena
After an early breakfast, you will depart for a flight over Medellin and see some of the highlights from above, including Guatape & the Piedra del Peñol. The flight starts in Medellin, where you will first explore the city from above! Enjoy the view of the city center, the parks like the Botanical Garden, the Metro Viaduct, and much more. Afterward, you will continue your journey towards Guatape & the monolith Piedra del Peñol. After you have circumnavigated the rock once and taken some exciting pictures of the landscape, the journey continues to Guatape. The small colonial town will enchant you with its colorful houses and colonialist features. You will land in Guatape and can explore the city before returning to Medellin. You will spend two hours in Guatape before returning to Medellin to catch your domestic flight to Cartagena.  Upon arrival in Cartagena, our representative will be waiting for you and take you to your hotel for check-in and some time at leisure. In the evening you will. beheading out for dinner at Candé Restaurant. Overnight at Sofitel Santa Clara.

Day 4: Cartagena
After breakfast, you will head out to explore the city of Cartagena. The City-Tour begins with a visit to the Fort of San Felipe de Barajas, San Pedro Clavér Convent Museum and you will end with a tour around the main squares, churches, and streets of the city. You will also walk over the city walls to have the best views of the city and to know the most important bastions. In the afternoon you will be heading out for a rum tasting tour. After a short walk, an expert mixologist will tell you about the history and characteristics of this drink. This journey of flavors will take you to taste different Colombian rums, some of them cataloged as the best in the world. You will learn their secrets and discover how wide and rich the world of Rum can be and how small changes in the process give life to so many different flavors and emotions. After getting to know and living rum from a different perspective, enjoying one will be a real experience. Overnight at Sofitel Santa Clara.

Day 5: Cartagena
After breakfast, you will be picked up for a transfer to Rafael Núñez International Airport where you can catch your international departure flight.
