Best of Mekong Delta

Day 1: Ho Chi Minh City  
Upon arrival at Ho Chi Minh International Airport, your guide will be waiting for you and transfer you to your hotel for free time at leisure. In case you arrive early, we could book an additional city tour for you through Ho Chi Minh city.

Day 2: Ho Chi Minh - Ben Tre – Can Tho
After breakfast, you will be picked up from your hotel and head towards Ben Tre. You will enjoy a boat cruise along the river which is a branch of the Mekong. You will start the day by taking a short walk through various local workplaces where you will be able to picture how local people work. You will continue your boat trip to My Long village, walking to the hamlet to see rice paper making and enjoy some rice cake. Follow the Cai Son canal, winding through a coconut jungle, visit a coconut workshop, have a look at the stages of coconut processing from removing the husk to prizing out the peel by hand. Next, go on a small waterway and stop at a bee garden, enjoy some fruits, honey tea and listen to local music as well. Visit a candy mill and enjoy some sweets. Afterward, you will bike on rural tracks or drive xe loi through coconut groves and vegetable patches. Keep going by rowboat on a shady palm tree canal and stop for lunch at the Green Garden riverside restaurant. After lunch, you will head back to the pier by motorboat. In the evening you will be transferred to Can Tho where you will spend the rest of your evening at leisure.

Day 3: Can Tho – Chau Doc – Tra Su Sanctuary
After an early breakfast, you will board a local boat to visit the Cai Rang Floating Market, the most famous floating market in the Mekong Delta. Here you will witness the scenery and the bustling activity of the market. After lunch on your own arrangement, depart to Chau Doc, where you will visit Tra Su Forest. It is renowned for not only its almost-untouched natural beauty but also its sanctuary of flora and fauna. In the evening, you will head to your hotel for leisure and overnight.

Day 4: Chau Doc – Ho Chi Minh City
After breakfast, you will head out by boat and visit a fishing village. Here you will see how the Mekong Delta people raise fish in their floating houses. Visit the Cham minority in their traditional weaving village, followed by a local Islamic Mosque. Continue to visit Sam Mountain and the Cave Pagoda. In the afternoon, we will start heading back to Ho Chi Minh City where you can catch your departure flight or stay for another night.
