Day 1: Antigua
Today you will arrive at La Aurora International Airport. Upon arrival, you will be met by a representative who will welcome you and you start your journey to Antigua, and proceed to your accommodation for leisure and overnight.
Day 2: Antigua - Pacaya Volcano - Antigua
After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel to transfer you to Pacaya Volcano. A 2.5 hours hike is required to reach the top. Enjoy a delicious lunch picnic style at the top surrounded by a magnificent view. After the picnic, you will start hiking back to the vehicle for your transfer back to Antigua.
Day 3: Antigua
After breakfast, you will be heading out with your guide for a walking tour through Antigua. Antigua is a beautiful colonial town and you will visit many of the main heritage buildings around Antigua such as The Cathedral, San Francisco and La Merced. After lunch, you will be transferred to a coffee plantation where you will learn the history, cultivation, and processing of coffee on the farm, with over 130 years of tradition. In the evening you will be transferred to your accommodation for leisure and overnight.
Day 4: Biking Tour
After breakfast, you will be leaving Antigua for the day and tour the countryside by mountain bike. During the tour, you will see ruins one earthquake away from extinction. Visit an experimental macadamia farm at a sustainable agriculture project. Explore the villages of Santiago Zamora and San Antonio Aguas Calientes, famous for their textiles and weavings. In the evening transfer back to Antigua for leisure and overnight.
Day 5: Antigua - Chichicastenango - Lake Atitlan
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Chichicastenango. Walk around the market and visit Santo Tomas church. In this 400-year-old church, you will witness syncretism, a term that means a mix of two religions. After the tour, you will hike to Pascual Abaj, a moderate hike to get to this Mayan Shrine where worshipers gathered regularly to perform ceremonies. Transfer to Lake Atitlan in the evening for leisure and overnight.
Day 6: Lake Atitlan
After breakfast, your guide will meet you at the lobby of your hotel for your boat transfer to the kayak starting point. Paddle for approximately 45 minutes along delightful peninsulas admiring the shore's beautiful gardens. Once at Cerro de Oro's base you will hike passing through the local village. A one-hour climb will get to the top, where you will enjoy spectacular views over the area. After the hike, your guide will transfer you back to your hotel.
Day 7: Lake Atitlan
After breakfast, your guide will take you on a private boat to visit San Juan la Laguna and Santiago Atitlan, two very special and different towns around the Lake. In the evening you will head back to your accommodation for leisure and overnight.
Day 8: Guatemala City - Iximche - Peten
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Guatemala City to take your flight to Flores, Peten. En-route visit to Iximche, a Pre Columbian Mayan site in the Western Highlands of Guatemala. It was the capital of the Late Pre-classic Kaqchikel kingdom from 1470 until its abandonment in 1524 with the Spaniard's arrival. The area of Petén is the largest department of Guatemala; it occupies about a third of the country but only contains over three percent of its population. In the evening transfer to your hotel for leisure and overnight.
Day 9: Ixpanpajul - Yaxha - Peten
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Ixpanpajul Park for zip lining. After a fun morning activity, we will take you back to the hotel for some time at leisure. At 14:00hr the guide will transfer you to Yaxhá Archaeological Site for a beautiful sunset tour. After the sunset, your guide will transfer you back to the hotel for leisure and overnight.
Day 10: Peten - Tikal - Guatemala City
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Tikal archaeological site. The tour covers the most important temples such as Complex Q, Temple IV, Lost World, Central Plaza, surrounded temples and North and South Acropolis. Lunch will be served in a restaurant in the middle of the jungle. Afterwards, you will be transferred to the airport for your domestic flight. Our representative will meet you at the airport to transfer you to your hotel in Guatemala City.
Day 11: Departure
Today you will be picked up from your hotel for a transfer to the La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City. Check-in must be at least 3 hours before the departure time.
